Midas: A Double-Eared Rescue Kitten Who Took The Internet By Storm

Cat pics is probably one of the most searched terms on the internet. Everyone loves a cute cat, and cat owners can never get enough of sharing their cat’s sassiness far and wide. The internet at large just eats it up. This cat, however, caught people’s attention, not with its cuteness but with a very odd mutation. 

Midas is a Russian Blue kitten from Turkey born with a strange genetic mutation that gave him two sets of ears and a defective jaw. The cat’s owner, Canis Dosemeci, says that Midas was one kitten of a litter of five. They were born in a friend’s backyard in turkey. Interestingly, Midas was the only one of his litter born with this mutation. He’s lucky that it doesn’t affect his hearing, so it’s basically an aesthetic enhancement. Who’s to say he’s not the first of a new cat species? Canis felt concerned that the kitten would have difficulty finding a new home, so she decided to adopt him herself. 

Canis took Midas to a vet, who confirmed that the genetic mutation did not affect his overall health. He’s lucky that it doesn’t affect his hearing, so it’s basically an aesthetic enhancement. Who’s to say he’s not the first of a new cat species? Now, Midas is living his best life with a loving owner. He has garnered well over 100 thousand followers on Instagram who delight in seeing the daily shenanigans of the 4-eared cat. 

Midas loves to spend time with his housemates, Suzy and Zeyno, both of which are labradors.
